Een aantal zaken, vooral persoonlijke smaak: * Ik ben al heel lang bezig met OpenSuSE, van de tijden van S.U.S.E. Linux 6.4, toen het nog geen gratis distributie was en toen "snel internet" met een inbelmodempje werkte. * Ik heb het niet echt voor de Gnome interface. Ubuntu is eerst en vooral een Gnome distributie, en de Kubuntu variant loopt wat achter en is helemaal niet zo actief als ik zou willen. Heel wat integraties waar Ubuntu zo bekend voor is zijn in de KDE versie niet aanwezig. * Ik ben niet zo'n grote fan van de nieuwe Ubuntu interface. * Ik ben nu eenmaal gewend aan het configuratiesysteem van openSuSE.
